About Alice

I was born in Beverly, Massachusetts, and grew up in Washington, DC. I received a BA in English Composition from the Pennsylvania State University. I began work on a degree in Fine Arts at Newcomb College, Tulane University, in New Orleans, LA., and received a BFA from the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC.

In 1987 and 1988, I was awarded grants from the DC Commission on the Arts. Commissioned work is installed in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC. I have exhibited in Washington and Leesburg, and have shown work at Broadway Windows in New York City. I lived and worked in Washington for thirteen years, and lived on a farm in Waterford, Virginia for eighteen years, working out of my barn/studio. I now live in Winchester, Virginia, and have a studio downtown.
