Drawing has been my principal medium, and my focus, the human form, often in an architectural context. From it has proceeded my work in neon and mosaic.

This gallery traces the development of the Everyman mannequin theme from the early mannequin figures to the Inflatables, to the blacklight drawings, which have been both studies for neon and finished products in themselves. The mannequin figures are gestural and metaphorical forms expressive of human feelings: animate, ascendant, breaking boundaries, they affirm existence and the possibility of transformation and transcendence.

Light drawings were created with fluorescent materials and mounted in shadow boxes with black lights; they often served as proposals for large neon work, but are finished works in themselves.

As well, there are large mixed media drawings such as “Aerobic Angel,” and a series-in-progress on the roles of woman in society and myth.
